The botulinal toxin is in man the intervention of the most practised esthetic medicine. The percentage of handled men is increasing constant. It represents 20 to 30 % of the client of the Parisian offices. There is still in man a certain modesty to admit to resort to esthetic interventions. The expected result must be discreet and gladly progressive.

THE BOTULINAL TOXIN is a medicine used in medicine since 1975 in ophthalmology and neurology at first. Doses used in neurology are often three – four times as important as those used in esthetics.

The botulinal toxin in men

In France this day only three molecules are marketed. The Vistabel name used in esthetic medicine. (It bears the name of Botox in therapeutics). Azzalure and Bocouture are two other products. Their speed of action are different. Azzalure acts more quickly in 7 in 8 days and is considered as the most powerful toxin, what is interesting in man which often have more thick facial muscles. 2 other products have their maximum effect in two weeks.

What is the mechanism of action?

Botulinal toxin acts by limiting the liberation of acetylcholine. The absence of this mediating neuro at the level of the neuro-muscular junctions prevents or decreases the muscular contraction. This phenomenon is completely reversible in 4 in 6 months what corresponds to the duration of action of the treatment.

The toxin injects in muscles by decreasing or by stopping their activity. Thus she acts only on the dynamic wrinkles, those were bound to the muscular contraction.

Are there any disadvantages?

That did not hear about the botulinal toxin. A poison, a danger. Toxin which we inject is medicine and have an extremely rigorous legislation. Other fear with the toxin is to have a face congealed just like certain actresses. It is just a question of choice. A LITTLE, VERY, FERVENTLY, In FOLIATE.

The more the injected quantity is important, longer the muscle will be blocked and the more the effect will last in the time but the more the face can be static at first.

A procedure with low risk

Of all the esthetic procedures it is that it less at risk on condition of course to have an entrainé doctor. Why: the injected product is used for a long time

  • The effect is always completely reversible
  • It not ya no allergy in the product.

Which zones to deal in man?

The man with often a thick skin, under the influence of the muscular contraction, the dynamic wrinkles form by dragging a real break of the skin.

The inter-superciliary wrinkles, said wrinkles of the glabelle or the wrinkles of the lion. These wrinkles give a severe aspect to the face. It is a general the first demand of treatment. Generally 5 points of toxin in the muscles of the glabelle prevent their contraction, giving an aspect more calmed with the face. At certain men these muscles are powerful, and it will sometimes be necessary to increase the injected dose.
