What is the ORIGIN laser?

The ORIGIN laser is a fractioned Erbium Glass laser releasing a 1550 nm wavelength.

It works through micro-beams that treat only part of the skin, leaving healthy skin intervals between impacts. These micro-lesions generate a skin reaction through the fibroblasts that thicken the collagen and skin elastin.

Why is this treatment unique?

The ORIGIN laser creates 70 μm micro-wells, which are so small that they are impossible to see with the naked eye and have no ablative effect on the epidermis.

Who is the ORIGIN treatment for?

This laser treatment is for all ages and may be applied to any part of the body, but it is particularly effective on the face, the neck, the neckline and the back of the hands.

The main indications are:

  • Wrinkles and fine lines
  • Pigmentation due to photo-aging
  • Acne scars
  • Enlarged pores
  • Stretch marks

This treatment is not suitable for patients with a history of healing disorders. Some photosensitising medicine will have to be interrupted.

What happens during a session?

The eyes are protected with eye shells and a topical anaesthetic may also be applied if necessary. The skin will appear red immediately after the procedure, but the recovery time is quick. A burning sensation may also remain for several hours following the session. It is compulsory to apply a SPF 50+ sunscreen for 3 weeks after the treatment.

How many sessions will be required?

Between 4 and 6 sessions will usually suffice to treat and improve the entire skin surface. An interval of one month minimum must be respected between sessions.

What results can be expected? Are they permanent?

Results are often visible less than a week after the first treatment. The skin is smoother, more even and brighter. You must, however, wait until all the sessions have been completed to see the complete and optimal results. The collagen will usually continue to keep strengthening 3 to 6 months after your last treatment. An annual maintenance treatment is required to maintain the results.
