Non-invasive body sculpting treatments represent one of the safest ways to reduce stubborn fat pockets that resist diet and exercise. By combining two of the most advanced non-invasive body shaping technologies, TightWave® and TightSculpting®, amazing results can be achieved.

It is well known that a healthy diet and regular exercise are the keys to a fit body. However, some areas of our bodies prove to be problematic, regardless of the effort we invest into exercise and nutrition. This is where non-invasive body shaping solutions such as laser and magnetic therapies come into play. They can help to shape and contour the body according to a patient’s wishes without downtime or unwanted side effects. Fotona has developed two highly effective treatments that can help to build muscles and shape the body. When combined, the two treatments offer a comprehensive approach with unparalleled results.

TightSculpting – a two-step laser treatment

TightSculpting® is a unique, non-invasive laser treatment for sculpting and skin tightening on all body areas. The exclusive delivery modes are used in concert for hyperthermic adipocyte destruction and collagen remodelling with exceptional results. The procedure is a fast, safe and effective non-invasive alternative to surgery, with no consumables or downtime required for the patient. In the first step of TightSculpting®, the super-long Nd:YAG PIANO® pulse mode is used, designed for homogenous tissue heating comfortably, safely and rapidly, by concentrating energy delivery to subcutaneously stimulate the metabolism of fat cells, leaving the epidermis intact.

The PIANO® mode extends the pulse durations to the seconds regime, resulting in full-thickness bulk heating with an overall synergistic tightening effect. The second stage consists of a revolutionary non-ablative Er:YAG SMOOTH® mode, ideal for skin tightening. The intense, controlled surface-tissue heating stimulates collagen remodelling and initiates neocollagenesis. The effects result in an overall improvement of laxity and elasticity in the treated areas.

Fotona’s innovative MatrixView® temperature monitor ensures effective and controlled treatments with ultimate patient comfort and safety. The scanner-supported TightSculpting® procedure allows for simultaneous large body area treatments using adjustable scanner-area shapes and sizes, as well as precise depth of regeneration monitoring.

TightWave® – magnetic body sculpting

Recently, a class of devices based on the principles of magnetic stimulation has been introduced, utilising a novel approach that focuses on the underlying muscles that are responsible for creating a toned and aesthetic appearance. Fotona’s innovative StarFormer® device utilises the company’s High intensity Tesla magnetic stimulation (HITS™) technology for superior results with magnetic muscle stimulation. It is based on the application of focused electromagnetic fields with safe intensity levels that generate electrical currents in the muscle tissue and depolarise motor neurons that cause muscle contraction, enabling the muscle tissue to effectively strengthen, tone and firm. This revolutionary medical technology is currently being used in aesthetic medicine as well as regenerative medicine, physiotherapy, urology and gynecology.

StarFormer® comes in two models: TightWave® and IntimaWave®. The StarFormer® TightWave® model selectively targets the muscles of different body areas (glutes, arms, abdomen, thighs and back) to strengthen, tone,  rm and sculpt the body. Muscle cells are built-up without voluntary muscle contractions, such as during traditional training. The end result is increased muscle strength and improved appearance. StarFormer® TightWave® can also be used for muscle pain management.

Why combine both?

Laser treatments work on the epidermis and subcutaneous tissue, tightening the skin and reducing fat, but not affecting muscles. By adding the TightWave® magnetic treatment, we penetrate also the muscle layer, enhancing muscle health, activating metabolism and improving the body’s physique. Combined therapies, therefore, affect three layers of the skin, resulting in optimal treatment outcomes. Another advantage offered with this protocol is the ability to adjust to the needs of each individual. Not all patients are the same, and Fotona devices enable treatments that can be personalised, depending on the problematic areas.

The perfect combination

Non-invasive body contouring technologies perfectly complement each other, influencing fat, skin laxity and muscle enhancement to effectively sculpt, tighten and strengthen the body. Combined therapies with laser and magnets are the ideal solutions for better and faster results.
